Hold your horses.
Or should I say Blue Jays.
Now comes word out of Boston, where Papelbon actually was a great closer before becoming a toxic presence in Philly, that there is interested north of the border.
After a simmering deal with the Brewers fizzled, the Blue Jays have popped up as a landing spot for the 34-year old ex-Red Sox closer. Would he go?
Yes, Toronto, interests me…I know some of the guys on their coaching staff. They’re a good team…I’d be interested.”
