The Flyers’ powerless play is starting to be an issue in this young season.
It generates opportunities, but precious few goals.
Against the Sabres last night it was 0-for-2, and 2-for-26 for the season. The power play was the Flyers’ biggest strength last season and needs to be very effective this season for the club to have any hope of being a playoff contender.
“I find it hard to say that it’s a tough go when you go back and look at the first PP and the number of opportunities,” coach Dave Hakstol said. “The puck has got to go in, so we have to do a better job.”
