New Orleans Pelicans center Anthony Davis had a monster 59-point, 20- rebound game a few nights back, leaving NBA historians scrambling for the record books to find an equivalent to this historic game, if there was one.
Shaquille O’Neal went ballistic for 61 points and 23 rebounds in a game on March 6, 2000. Yes quite an effort.
But native Philadelphian Wilt Chamberlain again sets the record straight with 33 games of 59+ and 20+ rebounds in his illustrious NBA career.
Just a bit of perspective when discussing who the real greatest player in NBA history is.
So there are three players in this rare air group in the history of the league, Wilt has the other two beat by 30+ games, the 100 point, 25 rebound game is crown jewel in NBA history.
