Like fired Lions coach Matt Patricia, Doug Pederson may be out of a job by the end of the season.
When asked if Pederson was safe, ESPN’s Dan Graziano said his job security was not a guarantee.
“I don’t think we can sit here, on Dec. 1, and say with confidence that Doug Pederson is safe,” Graziano said on “Get Up.”
Less than three years ago, Pederson looked like one of the best coaches in the league after out-dueling Bill Belichick in the Super Bowl. But things have gone downhill since then. While the Eagles have made it to the playoffs in the two seasons following, they have not been legitimate contenders.
And this season, they have dropped to a new low, as the Eagles are currently behind the Washington Football Team and the New York Giants in the NFC East race. The team still has plenty of time to win the division, but if they are unable to do so, it could be the end of Pederson’s tenure in Philly.
