Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette confirms that the Pirates have traded starter Tyler Anderson to the Phillies.
Pittsburgh will receive right-hander Cristian Hernandez and catcher Abrahan Gutierrez in return.
Instead of making his scheduled start for Pittsburgh tonight, Anderson heads to Philly having registered a 4.35 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, and 86/25 K/BB ratio across his first 103 1/3 innings (18 starts) this season.
