Here are the details of Danny Green’s one-year, minimum-salary contract, sources tell Yossi Gozlan and Michael Scotto of HoopsHype (Twitter link).
The deal has multiple trigger dates that would give him sizeable partial guarantees.
If he makes the opening night roster, he’ll earn $500,000; if he’s still on the roster on November 24, the guarantee will increase to $750,000; and if he remains on the team by December 24, he’ll be guaranteed $1.3 million.
The NBA’s league-wide guarantee date is typically around January 7-10, and it will likely be close to that range f0r 2023/24, though that isn’t official yet. I
f he’s still on an NBA roster past the league’s guarantee deadline, Green will earn his full $3.2 million salary.
