WHY EAGLE MATHEWS IS WORTH A FANTASY PICK AGAINST GIANTS!

By Julie Glass

Eagles running back Ryan Mathews racked up 20 carries for 128 yards and one touchdown on 35 snaps against the Ravens on Sunday.

Mathews was all but assured a big workload with Wendell Smallwood and Darren Sproles sidelined, but his strong fantasy efficiency was impressive when you consider that Baltimore entered the week allowing the fewest fantasy points to running backs this season.

Mathews is now up to nine touchdowns and sits 14th in the league in total OTD (8.1) despite missing extended time with injuries.

Mathews is averaging 4.5 yards per carry and 8.3 yards per reception this season.

He’ll again be busy in Week 16, but the Giants’ defense also has been strong against the run this season. Mathews should be viewed as a back-end RB2.
