EAGLES NO. 1 OFFENSE

HERE’S WHY EAGLES CAN WIN THE SUPE IN 2019 — AND BEYOND!

One theory in football is that it is necessary to lock down seven key starters as a core, and the Eagles have committed major contracts to the seven players they consider most valuable. They also look set to have 19 out of 22 positions covered with returning starters next year.

Players like quarterback Carson Wentz (above), center Jason Kelce, defensive end Chris Long, guard Brandon Brooks, defensive end Vinny Curry, defensive end Derek Barnett, safety Malcolm Jenkins and safety Rodney McLeod are signed through 2020, with offensive tackle Lane Johnson, tight end Zach Ertz and defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan signed through 2021. Standout wide receiver Alshon Jeffrey was extended through the same period as well. The top player on the team, defensive tackle Fletcher Cox, is signed even beyond the aforementioned group of players, through 2022:
