With the No. 53 pick in last night’s NBA draft, the Sixers selected Charles Bassey out of Western Kentucky.
Bassey has extremely high upside and should be able to make an impact defensively right off the bat.
Bassey’s is 6-11 and his athleticism make him a great shot blocker and rim protector.
As a junior at Western Kentucky, Bassey averaged 3.1 blocks per game, and for his career averaged 2.6.
He also averaged 15.9 points and 10.5 rebounds for his career, while knocking down 31.9% of his shots from beyond the arc. If Bassey can continue to develop his jump shot, the sky is the limit for the impact that Bassey can have on both sides of the ball.
