By Jenny Masters

Bryce Harper homered and drove in three runs, propelling the Phillies to an 8-3 victory over the Dodgers.

Harper doubled and rode home on Jean Segura’s three-run blast in the opening inning.

He then crushed a 420-foot three-run homer of his own off of Dodgers southpaw Julio Urias in the third inning that increased the Phillies edge to 6-1.

The defending NL MVP continues to sizzle at the plate, slashing .305/.361/.634 with nine homers, 27 RBI and six stolen bases through his first 34 games.
