Bryce Harper left last night’s game against the Padres with a fractured left thumb after getting hit in the thumb on a high-and-in fastball from Blake Snell.

He’ll probably be placed on the injured list, and the question now becomes not if he’ll miss time, but just how much.
Harper was a legitimate MVP candidate even though he hasn’t played in right field since April 16 because of a balky right elbow.
He is slashing .318/15HR’s/45RBI’s/.984OPS.
