Sometimes Eagles big boss Howie Boy Roseman opens his mouth and nothing but flim flam comes out.
And sometimes he says some of the dumbest things known to man.
During a radio appearance at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, Roseman explained why the Eagles have acted so swiftly this offseason.
“We looked at these guys and said ‘we don’t want them to leave the building. And so, as we’re building; if we are committed to them, why not be committed to them early?
“I use the analogy that my wife might not be too happy with me using, but if you want to marry the woman that you find, why not commit to her and go forward with your life? … Even though I took three years … You get into a situation like that and we looked at free agency this year and free agency next year and we don’t want to be in a situation where we get to next February and March with them being up [for new deals].”
