FROSTED EASILY TAKES PENNSYLVANIA DERBY AT PARX RACING

With Triple Crown winner American Pharoah back in his barn at Santa Anita in California, Frosted won yesterday’s $1 million Pennsylvania Derby at Parx Racing.

Jose Lezcano didn’t even need to go to his whip to win the 1 1/8-mile race in 1 minute, 50 seconds.

Frosted, likely headed next to the Breeders’ Cup Classic on Oct. 31 to take on American Pharoah, won for the fourth time in 12 starts. He returned $6.20 for a $2 win bet as the 2-1 favorite.

I’m a Chatterbox won the $1 million Cotillion for 3-year-old fillies earlier in the day. She is headed next to the Breeders’ Cup Distaff.
