FORMER TEMPLE, NFL LB ADRIAN ROBINSON DEAD AT 25

Temple football lost one of its stars Sunday, when former linebacker Adrian Robinson was reported dead.

Robinson, who played for the Steelers, Chargers, Broncos, and Washington, was undrafted in 2012, Robinson appeared in 12 games for the Steelers in 2012. After being traded to the Eagles for running back Felix Jones but later released, Robinson played in six games the following year with the Broncos, and two with the Chargers.

Robinson recently signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL, which opens training camp later this month.

Robinson, a native of Harrisburg, played on the defensive line and at linebacker at Temple and was named the MAC defensive player of the year as a sophomore in 2009 after recording 14 tackles for loss and 12 sacks.

Overall in 50 games with the Owls, Robinson registered 156 tackles, 33.5 tackles for loss, 22.5 sacks, eight forced fumbles and two interceptions.
