FORMER PHILLY FOX KACIE MCDONNELL GETS A BOSTON TV GIG!

By Jack Ryan

Former Philly Fox29’s Kacie McDonnell is back in a major market, hired by Boston’s NESN as an anchor and reporter.

She comes to Boston from Kansas City, where she worked as a reporter and fill-in anchor on KSHB’s morning program. She was also a pregame and postgame host for Major League Soccer broadcasts of Sporting Kansas City games on sister station KMCI.

“We are very excited to welcome an on-air personality of Kacie’s caliber to NESN’s sports news team,” said Joseph Maar, NESN’s vice president of programming and production/executive producer, in a statement.

“Kacie brings an upbeat and engaging personality with a quick wit and passion for sports that should endear her to fans of New England sports.”

McDonnell has more big-market experience, having begun her career at Fox29 in Philly, where her duties included delivering pre-game reports for Eagles games.
