Even with reports of some bad practices from Eagles Jalen Hurts during the last few weeks, the third-year quarterback will be the starter when they open the NFL season against the Detroit Lions September 11.
Hurts got the Birds to the playoffs last year with a substandard wide receiving corp and a shaky defense which will be much improved this season.
As with any NFL starter, your job is always on the line, and it’s no different for Hurts as he enters his 2nd season as the starter.
He will get every opportunity to succeed this year. With all the upgrades the team has made, nothing short of another playoff appearance will be the standard he will need to live up to when the season kicks off this September.
