FORGET COWBOYS, GIANTS ARE STILL EAGLES’ BIGGEST RIVAL!

With all the talk about the Eagles’ great offseason, it’s good to keep things in perspective about the Birds’ rivalry with the New York Giants in NFC East.

They play at the Linc on Sept. 24 and at MetLife on Dec. 17.

Everything else is up for debate.

Summary: First round pick Derek Barnett will be a key part of the Eagles’ pass rush rotation. Sidney Jones will potentially miss his entire rookie season as he recovers from an Achilles injury. Rasul Douglas could challenge for a starting role at cornerback. Donnel Pumphrey is expected to be a significant role player on offense.
