The Flyers had a busy weekend, signing right wing Colin McDonald to a one-year, two-way contract.
McDonald, 30, spent the past three seasons with the New York Islanders, splitting time last season between the Islanders and their American Hockey League affiliate in Bridgeport, Conn.
In parts of five NHL seasons with the Edmonton Oilers, Pittsburgh Penguins and Islanders, McDonald has 18 goals and 44 points in 140 games.
Selected by the Oilers in the second round (No. 51) of the 2003 NHL Draft, McDonald scored 43 goals and 77 points in 135 games with Providence College before turning pro in 2007.
