Sam Morin hasn’t played a minute for the Flyers during their first four games, and now he has a new team:
Morin was sent back to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, where he spent a majority of the 2016-17 season.
Morin should join the team today, and he figures to see plenty of action as the Phantoms play three games in three days starting Friday on the road against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.
Starting the season on a four-game road trip and with defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere’s health in question, the Flyers opted to begin the season with an extra defenseman, bringing the total on the roster to eight.
