FLYERS PRACTICE CALLED OFF BY NHL: COVID CAUSING CHAOS!

By Jenny Masters

The Flyers haven’t practiced since last Tuesday.

And they were due to work out today in Voorhees, but at 10:55 am they were “advised by the National Hockey League to resume practice on Tuesday, Feb. 16.”

Claude Giroux, Jakub Voracek, Justin Braun, Scott Laughton, Oskar Lindblom, Travis Konecny and Morgan Frost remain on the protocol list, which bars them from participating in team activities.

While Frost is likely out for the season anyway in the wake of shoulder surgery, the other six players are nightly starters, and in the case of Giroux, Voracek and Konecny in particular, top-of-the-lineup stars.

And of course, Lindblom’s placement on the list Friday brought extra concern due to his recent battle with Ewing’s sarcoma.
