FLYERS PATRICK OUT WITH UPPER BODY, SEASON OPENER IN DOUBT!

“We’ve known about it for a while. Been working with him for a while – trying to get him healthy as quickly as we can.”

The “him” Flyers GM Chuck Fletcher is talking about is 21-year-old Nolan Patrick, who is out of the team’s training camp and is “week-to-week” because of an upper body injury.

There is no exact timeline for his return, including the October season opener..

“It’s tough to say,” Fletcher said. “We’ll just continue to wait and see how things are going.”

Patrick hasn’t had a fully healthy season since 2015-16 when he was with the WHL’s Brandon Wheat Kings. From sports hernia surgery, to concussions, to upper-body injuries – the past three seasons have been a roller coaster.
