As of right now, the Flyers (GM Ron Hextall with owner Ed Snider above), Buffalo Sabres, Toronto Maple Leafs and San Jose Sharks are all without a head coach. The Edmonton Oilers have interim head coach Todd Nelson, who just interviewed for his own job, and may not get to keep it. The New Jersey Devils have co-coaches Scott Stevens and Adam Oates, neither of whom may end up staying. Then there’s Ken Hitchock with the St. Louis Blues. His contract is up and both parties could agree to move on. That’s not to mention any other openings that could unexpectedly crop up as more teams drop out of the playoffs. So there could be at least eight jobs that experience turnover from 2014-15 to 2015-16.
