FLYERS FALL IN ISLES EXO, CARTER HART STOPS 17 OF 18

The Flyers tipped off their exo schedule with a 3-2 overtime loss to the New York Islanders at the Wells.

Starting goaltender Carter Hart (17 shots on 18 saves) played the first two periods of the game for the Flyers.

Samuel Ersson (9 saves on 11 shots) played the third period. For New York, Cory Schneider (10 saves on 11 shots) went the first 30 minutes of regulation. Ken Appleby (15 saves on 16 shots) went the rest of the way.

After a scoreless first period, Egor Zamula tallied off a faceoff at 5:14 to open the scoring. Adam Pelech got the goal back at 8:34, sending the game to the third period tied at 1-1.

In the third period. Noah Dobson scored a power play goal off at 6:27 to put the Islanders ahead. Maksim Sushko re-tied the game at 14:40.

The Flyers paid for a turnover in the opening shift of OT. Anthony Beauvillier scored on the counterattack off a pass by Noah Dobson.
