The Flyers will reportedly look to move Jakub Voracek this summer, starting with leaving him unprotected in the expansion draft on July 21.
Seattle might simply take him and if they don’t then it’s believed that GM Chuck Fletcher will look for a trade.
Voracek would be a fit on a lot of team’s top line, but he also comes with a $8.25 million annual cap hit for each of the next three seasons.
That contract might ultimately be what keeps him from getting dealt.
The Flyers and Voracek are reportedly prepared for the possibility that he’ll stick with the team for 2021-22 so we imagine the Flyers won’t pull the trigger on a deal unless they feel what they’re getting back makes sense.
