EX-SIXER DOC RIVERS HAS REACHED THE END OF NBA COACHING LINE!

By Art Beitchman

With all but one NBA head coaching vacancy being filled — the Toronto Raptors — former 76ers coach Doc Rivers is left on the outside looking in.

Rivers was cut loose by the team by Daryl Morey 3 days after losing game 7 to the Celtics last month.

Rivers was unable to get them out of the 2nd round for the 3rd straight year, and former Raptor coach Nick Nurse was given the head coach job just last week.

The Suns and Bucks passed over Rivers as he was in the running for both jobs.

It appears his coaching skills are being questioned at this point, even being a championship caliber-leader, though that title was 15 years ago in Boston.

Some of his luster has worn off.

Rivers is still being paid by the 76ers the next two seasons, but it looks as though he might sit out this upcoming season.

With the Raptors job being the only team without a coach, Rivers is not likely he will be offered that job for next season.
