EX-EAGLES QB COACH RYAN DAY IS OHIO STATE INTERIM BOSS!

By Sally Fahey

Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer has been placed on administrative leave because of an investigation into whether he knew that one of his assistants was accused of sexual abuse.

So, look who’s the Buckeyes’ interim head coach:

Offensive coordinator Ryan Day (above with Sam Bradford), who was Eagles coach Chip Kelly’s quarterbacks coach!

Day, 39, was hired by Ohio State last season after two years as a QB coach in the NFL — following his mentor Chip Kelly from Philly (2015) to San Francisco (2016).

His ties to Meyer go back to 2005, when he was a graduate assistant at the University of Florida. Before beginning his coaching career, the Manchester, N.H., native played quarterback for the University of New Hampshire from 1998 to 2001.

He’ll likely continue his role with the Buckeyes as chief play-caller while he also assumes the job of interim head coach.
