ELBOW SORENESS SENDS PHILS RELIEVER ROBERTSON TO INJURED LIST

By Sam Bush

The Phillies have placed reliever David Robertson on the 10-day injured list with soreness in his right elbow.

And they recalled righty Drew Anderson from Triple-A Lehigh Valley to replace Robertson on the active roster.

Robertson, 34, tossed two scoreless innings Sunday in the Phillies’ 3-1 extra-innings win over the Marlins in Miami, striking out a pair of hitters while walking one. That was his first appearance in six days. Over seven outings, Robertson owns a 5.40 ERA with six strikeouts and six walks.

Robertson signed a two-year, $23 million contract with Philadelphia in January, which includes a $12 million club option (or $2 million buyout) for the 2021 season.
