EFLIN’S 5 HITS IN 8 INNINGS SET TABLE FOR PHILS SHUTOUT OF ANGELS

Zach Eflin pitched five-hit ball for eight innings and combined with James Norwood on a shutout of the Angels.

The Phillies cruised in the first game of the post-Joe Girardi era, winning 10-0.

Eflin allowed only singles and walked just one in the gem, improving to 2-4 with a 3.88 ERA. He has a strong 45/10 K/BB ratio in 51 innings this year.
