The Inky’s Marcus Hayes flies off on tangents that are often ridiculous.
But not today.
It must be obvious to any Eagles fan that Nick Sirianni doesn’t have the chops to be a head coach in the rough and tumble NFL.
His comments yesterday about flowers blooming were bizarre and incomprehensible to us.
Let alone the players.
But owner Jeff Lurie and boy wonder GM Howie Roseman chose Sirianni to replace Doug Pederson.
And, by all accounts, the interview they gave Eagles fan fave Duce Staley was basically lip service.
Duce, who was an Eagles running back from 1997 to 2003 and an Eagles assistant for 10 years, is now in Detroit as assistant head coach and running backs coach.
Here’s a thought:
After Sunday’s Eagles-Lions game, Sirianni gets sacked and Staley gets hired as Eagles head coach!
‘Football genius’ Duce Staley could’ve been the Eagles’ coach instead of ‘Flower Child’ Nick Sirianni | Marcus Hayes https://t.co/zGb1PHrZOP
