Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson said there seems to be “more emphasis on the screen game” in Nick Sirianni’s offense.
The Colts’ backfield — which Sirianni oversaw — averaged the league’s fourth-highest target rate last year, but that was written off as Philip Rivers’ propensity to hone in on that position.
That’s great news for Miles Sanders after the running back unit caught the seventh-fewest receptions (60) under Doug Pederson last year.
Fifth-round RB Kenny Gainwell is also expected to compete with Sanders for work on passing downs.
