EAGLES WILL BEAT GIANTS TONIGHT BUT NOT COVER THE 9 1/2!

By Peter Gleason

The Eagles face the Giants tonight at the Linc with a real if bizarre shot at making the playoffs.

The Giants have lost eight straight, four by double digits.

In Week 13, Aaron Rodgers strafed their secondary, and rookie QB Daniel Jones had a miserable outing, throwing just one touchdown against three interceptions.

RB Saquon Barkley was a bright spot, with 115 yards from scrimmage, but outside of him, there isn’t much to cheer for if you’re a Giants fan.

Somehow the Eagles are still in the NFC East race, but they haven’t played like a team that belongs in the playoffs.

In Week 13, the Eagles humiliated themselves in Miami, losing to the woeful Dolphins. In the process, they allowed what proved to be a pivotal touchdown on a pass from Miami’s punter to its kicker.

On the spot: Giants QB Eli Manning. Wrecking the Eagles season would be huge for Manning. He likely will replace Jones, who is hobbled by an ankle injury..

Eagles CB Jalen Mills: He was awful against Miami, allowing two touchdowns and 102 yards when targeted. It was his second straight game allowing at least 100 yards and a touchdown.

The pick: Eagles 27 Giants 20
