EAGLES WENTZ SAYS HE’S GOT TO CUT DOWN ON PICKS: NO KIDDING!

Carson Wentz has already thrown a league-leading six interceptions heading into Week 4. He acknowledged that taking better care of the ball will be a point of emphasis in their potential turnaround:

“I think the biggest thing, there’s no doubt about it, is just taking care of the football,” Wentz said.

“We make some plays as a whole offensively, we do some really good things and move the ball and just the turnovers are really killing us. I’ve got to be better than that, and I know that and it’s something that I’ve looked into. I’ve critiqued myself hard and I’ve got to be better and kind of set the example on that front, but we’re really not far off offensively. They’re all correctable things and things that we can get going in the right way and I’m confident that they will.”

The onus will fall on Wentz to make better decisions with the limited weapons at his disposal. Aside from tight end Zach Ertz serving as a stabilizing factor in the passing game, wide receiver Greg Ward Jr. also emerged as one of the few bright spots in Week 3 after catching eight of a team-high 11 targets for 72 receiving yards and a touchdown.
