The Eagles have proposed allowing players to wear number zero and to change onside kick rules to mirror XFL.
There were nine playing rule proposals submitted to the NFL, two of which were proposed by the Eagles.
There have been growing concerns with the onside kick over the previous few years, which the XFL tackled by allowing a 4th and 15 from a team’s own 25 yard line.
The Eagles proposed a 4th and 20 option from the kicking team’s own 20 yard line. Seemingly an afterthought, the Eagles also proposed to allow players to wear the number zero.
