Niners rebound to 9-1, Ravens blow away Texans — NFL roundup:
By Harvey Hoffman
The Eagles are now a full game behind the Cowboys in the NFC East — they’re 5-5 to Dallas’ 6-4 with a tie-break advantage.
And a bigger problems is that the Cowboys are getting hot just as the Eagles are not.
The Dallas Cowboys own the NFL’s No. 1 offense and now they boast one of the league’s hottest quarterbacks.
Dak Prescott helped the Cowboys shake off a poor start with a career-best 284 yards in first-half passing yardage to lead them to a 35-27 win against the Detroit Lions.
The Cowboys needed all of Prescott’s yards because Lions backup quarterback Jeff Driskel kept his team in the game into the fourth quarter.
With 444 yards and three touchdown passes against the Lions, Prescott has thrown for more than 1,000 yards and nine TDs over the past three weeks. Yesterday he completed 29 of 46 attempts with no interceptions..
This is the third time he has thrown for more than 400 yards in a game this season. His season-best is 463 in a loss to Green Bay last month.
