EAGLES TO REST OF NFL: ONE BOWL OF DOG FOOD AIN’T ENOUGH!

By Art Beitchman

It appears as though winning the Super Bowl isn’t enough proof you’re the better team.

Five months after the Eagles’ 41-33 victory in SB 52, the Patriots, not the Eagles, are favored to win next year’s SB at 5/1, with the Eagles 7/1!!

Evidently Jason Kelce’s spellbinder in front of the Art Museum steps also wasn’t enough.

Kelce had an answer for Good Morning Football’s cast on NFL Network a few weeks ago on repeating as SB Champs: “After not eating for 57 years one bowl of food won’t suffice”!

The Birds won last year without five key players lost to injury, five who will be back in the lineup come the NFL opener versus the Atlanta Falcons on Sept. 6.

They are Chris Maragos, Jason Peters, Darren Sproles, Jordan Hicks, and MVP candidate 3rd year QB Carson Wentz.

Theoretically the Birds should be better with those additions.

They also have added defensive line reinforcement with the free agent signing of DE Michael Bennett and 340-pound DT Haloti Ngata to shore up a front seven that already was consider elite last season.

Of course winning one Super Bowl is a tremendous feat. Going back-to-back is rare, last done by the 2003/2004 Patriots.

The 2018 edition of the Eagles are still hungry and have all the firepower to get the job done again and keep the Lombardi Trophy in Philadelphia for another year.
