Eagles tight end Zach Ertz would love to see former Bird DeSean Jackson back in midnight green.
“He was great to me. I never had any issues with him. He was really supportive of me,” Ertz said. “The guy can play football.”
Ertz said he wouldn’t have any concerns about Jackson coming into the Eagles’ locker room.
“No doubt about it,” Ertz said when asked if Jackson would fit in. “There are only a handful guys there were here when he was here, but the guys that were here remember him in the right way. Brent (Celek) speaks highly of him, I speak highly of him. Other guys speak highly of him.”
Rumors of Jackson returning to the Eagles heated up this week when defensive end Brandon Graham talked about Jackson returning as if it was a done deal.
“He is so fast, so dynamic. The safeties have to respect that,” Ertz said. “I know when we go against him, we see him running past our defense every now-and-then, and it’s tough to see because he is so good. You never want to lose to anybody, but especially to a guy that (used to be) on your team.”
