EAGLES SEASON CRASHES, BURNS: 31-15 AND IT WASN’T THAT CLOSE!

By Max Harper

The Eagles were waxed by the Tampa Bay Bucs 31-15, and the final score didn’t reflect how much of a blowout it really was..

Tom Brady and the Buccaneers scored 31 unanswered points, putting the matchup out of reach by the end of the third quarter.

The Buccaneers’ running backs, Giovanni Bernard and Ke’Shawn Vaughn, each scored a first-quarter rushing touchdown and a field goal in the second quarter pushed the score to 17-0. Brady, who finished with 271 yards, threw third-quarter touchdowns to Mike Evans and Rob Gronkowski.

The Eagles offensive mistakes halted any attempt at a comeback; quarterback Jalen Hurts — who finished with 258 yards — threw two interceptions and wideout Jalen Reagor muffed a punt.

The Eagles showed life with fourth-quarter touchdowns by Boston Scott and Kenneth Gainwell, but struggled to move the ball while playing from behind and the scores proved to be too little, too late.
