EAGLES SAYING BUH-BYE TO UNDERACHIEVING PUNTER CAM JOHNSON!

By Steve Kelly

The Eagles are punting on punter Cam Johnson.

He’s a restricted free agent and the Birds have not tendered a contract, making him an unrestricted free agent.

The 29-year old finished 14th in net punting average last season, and was also the holder for kicker Jake Elliott.

He earned $660,ooo in 2020 season, so they won’t save much money on the cap..

The former Aussie Rules player from Melbourne and Ohio State punted 71 times last season, averaging 46.7 yards per kick with a long of 66 yards.

Johnston had a career best 48.1 yards per kick back in 2018 and a long of 68-yards during that season.
