EAGLES’ ROSEMAN RANKED 11TH AMONG NFL GMS

The Sporting News has ranked the NFL’s general managers, and the Eagles’ Howie Roseman has come in at 11 out of 32:

Roseman came up through the Eagles ranks during Andy Reid’s long tenure and is now entering Year 5. During his time, he’s had to help replace Reid himself, along with Donovan McNabb, Michael Vick and the other remaining names of that era. Last year, they won a division with Chip Kelly, Nick Foles and LeSean McCoy. Roseman hasn’t turned 40 yet. The sky is the limit.

In other news about Eagles execs, Joe Banner, former team president and best friend of owner Jeff Lurie, until he was was fired here, hired in Cleveland and fired there all within a year, is sounding off about the Birds.

NJ.com’s Eliot Shorr-Parks has the scoop via Banner’s Twitter account:

The eagles will do fine without desean Jackson, the real question is does desean make the Redskins much better.

Just remember Banner is the guy who signed all those over-the-hill free agents in 2011 and proclaimed the Birds were “all in” for the Super Bowl push.

They finished 8-8.
