Finding superlatives to describe Eagles QB Nick Foles’ off-the-charts play is getting harder and harder.

So with a nod to the Beatles 1967 album, Foles Magical Mystery Tour of gridiron excellence the last three weeks leading the Eagles to the NFL playoffs is nothing short of miraculous!

Sure, Foles is a very good QB, but to win the Super Bowl MVP just 11 months ago, then come back to replace Carson Wentz with the same level of top tier play is hard to explain.

Dominating the decimated Washington Redskins with a total beat-down 24-0 is one thing.

Throwing 28 completions in 33 attempts is something else totally, including tying an NFL record with 25 straight completions.

What’s eerie here, Foles set a record the week before with 471 yards through the air versus Houston in a two point win! Whatever Foles needs to do he does to get the Eagles another win!

With the victory over the Redskins, coupled with a Bears win over a Vikings team that barely showed up for the biggest game of the year, the Birds secured the 6th seed in the NFC playoffs with a 9-7 record — quite an accomplishment from being 6-7 just a month ago.

This year they will have to win on the road to move on, starting with a Sunday Wild Card weekend game in Chicago versus the high-flying Bears with all the momentum they need to shock the world one more time at Soldier Field, January 6, 4:40pm/NBC
