Now that the Eagles have traded running back LeSean McCoy, they have been linked with every RB of stature in the NFL.
The Eagles are reportedly expressing a serious interest in Niners’ running back Frank Gore, according to NJ.com. The two have a strong mutual interest and could have a deal done as early as Tuesday, the first day for free agents to sign with new teams, according to the report.
Gore, who will be 32 years old in May, totaled 1,106 yards on 255 carries and four touchdowns in 2014 with the 49ers. San Francisco CEO Jed York said the team has a desire to keep Gore and will find a way.
“I think we’ll figure out a way. That’s my feeling,” York told the San Francisco Chronicle.
