EAGLES NAME LAME-ASS JOHNSON, CARSON WENTZ SUNDAY STARTERS

By Michael Donovan

Eagles coach Doug Pederson named rookie quarterback Carson Wentz the starting quarterback for Sunday’s season opener against the Cleveland Browns at Lincoln Financial Field and later said he expects Lane Johnson to start at right tackle.

“Allen Barbre is moving back to left guard,” Pederson said. “Lane Johnson is my right tackle, until I hear something otherwise.”

Johnson failed a second PED test, but he and the Eagles are awaiting a ruling from the league on the results of the right tackle’s B-sample, which would trigger the suspension if it also comes back positive for peptides.

Last month, Johnson said that he not only plans to appeal any suspension but that he also has plans to sue the manufacturer of the amino acid that continued the peptides while also swearing off supplements for the rest of his career.
