Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson is feeling much better about his surgically repaired left ankle.
“I ended up getting that drained,” Johnson said Friday. “There was about 6 cc of fluid in my ankle just kind of sitting there. It became inflamed and it was hard to push off of it. But I practiced full today and that was good. I’m starting to walk around with no pain. It’s getting better.”
Since Doug Pederson became head coach, the Eagles are 37-18-1 when Johnson plays and 6-12 when he doesn’t.
Johnson competes today against Pittsburgh Steelers pass rusher T.J. Watt, who has 3 1/2 sacks and is quick coming off the edge of a formidable defensive line that includes the highly regarded Bud Dupree on the other edge and Cam Hayward and Stephon Tuitt inside.
