Okay, the Sixers disappointed us in the playoffs.
The Flyers are in NHL hell.
And the Phillies just canned their manager after starting the season on a down note.
So it’s natural that all the energy of the Philly fan base has been poured into the Eagles, who are still an empty vessel.
Except for Eliot Schorr-Parks, who works for 94WIP.com.
ESP, as he is known in the fanboy set, has never met an Eagle he doesn’t like, and his “reporting” is so unctuous that you have to wonder if he’s on the team’s payroll or Audacy’s.
The Eagles just finished the first week of OTA’s this week, Jalen Hurts looked good and here’s ESP’s breathless prose:
If the Jalen Hurts that practiced on Friday is the Jalen Hurts the Eagles get this season it is going to be a very successful year for the team — and an improved year for the passing game.
Yes, it was just 7 v. 7 drills in June, but Hurts was excellent on Friday for the team’s OTA practice that was open to the media, attacking the defense repeatedly down the field with accurate passes.
That was the biggest difference between Hurts on Friday and the Hurts the Eagles got last season — an aggressive willingness to not only attack the defense deep, but combining that attitude with accurate passes.
