EAGLES HIRE DAY, A BC EAGLE, TO BE QB COACH

By Harry Allison

We don’t yet know who the Eagles’ starting quarterback will be in 2015:

Nick Foles, Marcus Mariota, Brett Hundley?

But at least we know who his QB coach will be.

Ryan Day has been hired to replace Bill Musgrave after he left to become the offensive coordinator for the Oakland Raiders.

Day is the third quarterbacks coach in three years under Chip Kelly. Bill Lazor left after one season to be Miami’s offensive coordinator.

Day was a three-year starter at quarterback at New Hampshire when Kelly was the offensive coordinator for the school. He joins the Eagles after a two-year stint as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Boston College.

Day previously was the wide receivers coach at Boston College from 2007-11. He was the offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach at Temple in 2012.
