The Eagles are trading two of their 2022 first-round picks (No. 16 and No. 19) to the Saints for New Orleans’ 2022 first-round pick (No. 18) and a 2023 first-round pick.
The Eagles will also receive a 2024 second-round draft pick, plus a 2022 third-round pick (No. 101) and a 2022 seventh-round pick (No. 237) while sending a 2022 sixth-round pick (No. 194) to the Saints.
After the trade, the Eagles will still pick twice in the 2022 first round as they also own the No. 15 pick.
Here’s the boiled down version:
Eagles get: #18 overall (1st rounder), #101 overall (3rd rounder), #237 overall (7th rounder), a 2023 first round pick, and a 2024 second round pick
Saints get: #16 (1st rounder), #19 (first rounder), #194 (6th rounder)
Now the Eagles have double 1’s in the 2023 draft, which is expected to be a better and deeper QB draft. A trade like today’s continues to show that Jalen Hurts will get another chance this season to become the Eagles’ QB solution for future seasons. pic.twitter.com/9xpTXRdV2N
