If Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffery (above) is out for tomorrow’s Lions game at the Linc, rookie J.J. Arcega-Whiteside is the logical choice to step-up in his role.
Philly selected him in the second round of the 2019 draft, hoping that his NFL-ready body and penchant for scoring red zone touchdowns will emulate Jeffery’s skillset.
The Eagles are dealing with a litany of injuries:
Wideout DeSean Jackson (groin — out)
Running back Corey Clement (shoulder – out)
Defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan (foot – out)
Tackle Jordan Mailata (back – out)
Linebacker Kamu Grieger-Hill (knee – doubtful)
Tight end Dallas Goedert (calf – questionable)
Quarterback Nate Sudfeld (ankle – full participation)
Defensive end Derek Barnett (shoulder – full participation)
Defensive tackle Fletcher Cox (toe – full participation)
Safety Johnathan Cyprien (knee – limited participation)
Linebacker Nathan Gerry (knee, calf – full participation)
Safety Rudy Ford (hamstring – full participation)
