Not too long after Eagles LB Hasson Reddick strip-sacked 49ers wonder boy rookie Brock Purdy in the first half of the NFC Championship game Sunday afternoon at the Linc, it became apparent the Eagles would be moving on to Super Bowl 57.
And obvious too that Purdy wouldn’t become the 1st rookie to start a Super Bowl.

The Eagles beat down the 49ers 31-7 to play for the Lombardi trophy February 12 against the Kansas City Chiefs in Glendale, Arizona.
The Birds used a potent running game for 4 TD’s, 2 by Miles Sanders, 1 by Boston Scott, and a 2-yard run by QB Jalen Hurts to join the scoring parade.
The 49ers offense became comical when 14 year QB Josh Johnson entered the game. They barely trusted Johnson to throw a pass in this championship game, running the ball on most snaps.
It became obvious it was the end of the line for the 49ers who went down to the Eagles.
It would be the 4th Super Bowl in team history for a franchise that’s been hungry to get back to the big dance.
