EAGLES DOUBLING DOWN ON FAILURE: BIG V WILL START AGAINST VIKES!

By Annie Ross

The Eagles are doubling down on failure.

Eagles head coach Doug Pederson said today that he would be starting Halapoulivaati Vaitai at right tackle against the Minnesota Vikings next Sunday.

“My focus is to get V ready to go,” Pederson said. “He’ll be a lot better this week.”

Vaitai allowed 2.5 sacks against the Redskins, and allowed pressure in the face of quarterback Carson Wentz throughout the game.

“He gives us the best opportunity to win right now,” Pederson said. “He is our backup right tackle right now. Therefore, he is going to play.”
