EAGLES DICKER THE KICKER NAMED NFC SPECIAL TEAMS PLAY OF WEEK!

By Max Harper

Rookie kicker Cameron Dicker converted two field goals – a 42-yarder and a 23-yarder with 1:48 remaining – and totaled eight points as the Eagles beat the Arizona Cardinals 20-17 to remain the NFL’s last undefeated team.

“It’s kudos to him, kudos to the field goal unit, the operation,” Special Teams Coordinator Michael Clay said.

“(Special Teams Quality Control Coach) Tyler Brown working with him and just getting him comfortable. You see after all those PATs and field goals, the guys on kickoff all dapping him up, which was really cool to see. A guy that people had known for three days gets the help from everybody else, which was really cool to see.”

The Eagles extended their streak of having a Player of the Week after every game this season. Zech McPhearson took home Special Teams Player of the Week honors after recovering an onside kick in the opener against the Detroit Lions. That was followed up by three straight Defensive By Player of the Week winners – Darius Slay (Vikings), Brandon Graham (Commanders), and Haason Reddick (Jaguars). That doesn’t include Jalen Hurts’ NFC Offensive Player of the Month distinction.
